Bonjour! Je m’appelle Poo! 💩💩💩
I’m a 1989 Citroën BX 16 Valve, the top-spec version of Citroën’s famously quirky hatchback. Designed by the legendary Marcello Gandini – the same man behind the Lamborghini Countach – I bring both style and substance 🥖
Under my bonnet lives a punchy 1.9L 16-valve engine, delivering 160 bhp. At the time, this made me the second most powerful engine per litre in the world – right behind the Countach itself. Not bad for a French family car, eh? 😏
But I’m not just about power. I float on Citroën’s hydropneumatic suspension, giving me that signature magic carpet ride. I can raise or lower myself at will – practical, smooth, and just a bit bonkers 🤪
Inside, I’ve got plenty of space, cool 80s styling, and a few typically French oddities – including switches where you don’t expect them, and maybe even a single-spoke steering wheel depending on the spec 😊
I’ve been lovingly looked after and still hit the road (and the occasional car show) with pride. I’m a rare sight these days – especially in this condition – but I’m here to remind you just how daring Citroën used to be 👌
Merci,
Le Poo 💩
